Spa Attire:
All treatments include the use of a Sarong, Robe, Towels and Slippers. The Gommage treatment is usually performed without clothing. We provide disposable underwear for this treatment or you are welcome to bring your bathing suit if you prefer.

Arrival:
Please plan to arrive 5 – 10 minutes before your treatment time. Should you arrive late, your treatment will be modified to make the most of the remaining time.

Making an Appointment:
To ensure you receive your preferred date and time for your appointment please call the Spa to make an appointment at 604 733 5151. Our weekends tend to sell out quickly. Please call at least a week in advance to make appointments for Saturday and Sunday.

We will need your Gift Certificate number or a Credit Card number in order to make your appointment.
All of our therapists are Certified Massage Practitioners. Our practitioners are trained in discreet draping techniques for your comfort.

We do not offer Registered Massage Therapy at the moment and thus do not offer receipts for extended medical coverage.

Gratuities:
We leave gratuities at the discretion of our spas guests. If you would like to leave a gratuity for your practitioners, the rate in the industry is similar to that of the restaurant industry or 10 – 20%.

Age restrictions:
We like to invite guests of all ages although we do ask for parental guidance for guests under the age of 15.

Parking:
We offer complimentary underground parking for our spa guests. The parking is behind the Spa at 5th Avenue. Drive underground and press 555 on the pinpad, we will buzz you in. You can park anywhere as this is visitors and retail parking. When you are driving in note that the exit is to your right hand side in the corner next to the 2 reserved parking stalls. Exit through this door and follow the stairs up. You will come out to 6th ave. right next to our door.

Cancellation Policy:
24 hour cancellation is required. Clients who do not arrive on the day of their appointment without having called within 24 hours will be charged in full.

Amenities for Spa Guests:
The Hammam is where your session will begin and will be booked privately whether you are attending alone or with a guest(s). The Hammam is 400sq feet and includes a glass enclosed chamber for intense steam. The outer chamber is considered low mist and is where the Gommage (body exfoliation) is done.
The intense steam chamber rises to a high of 120 degrees. The lower mist chamber peaks at 95 degrees approximately.

There are showers in the change room. We also provide personal care items such as Shampoo, Conditioner & Body wash. There are also hair dryers and shower caps if you prefer to not wet your hair during your session.

You will be given a locker for your personal belongings. We recommend you leave items of value such as jewellery at home. The Miraj Hammam Spa is not responsible to lost or stolen items.

Health/Medical Concerns:
Please advise at the time of making your appointment if you think you may be or are pregnant or if you have any pre-existing medical conditions such as:

  • High/Low blood pressure
  • Cardiovascular concerns
  • Respiratory conditions
  • Allergies
  • Anxiety or Claustrophobia
  • Past reactions to heat or steam
  • Cancer/ Diabetes (or any other condition not noted)
